As part of our 25th Anniversary year, we are celebrating the gifts and work of our program director, Dick Smith, as he now marks his 80th birthday. Dick is the finest jazz singer in Washington, DC but more importantly, a tireless champion for DC jazz. His strong love for our local jazz scene and all its participants has helped make Jazz Night in DC the institution that it is. While serving as the featured artist for this occasion, Dick welcomes a gathering of fine musicians including Lyle Link, sax; Orlando Wilson, guitar; Greg Lamont, organ; Wade Beach, piano; Steve Novosel, bass; Steve Walker, drums; DeAndre Howard, AJACS; “AppleJack” Freeman, AJACS and other Surprise Guests.
