Westminster Parish Partner Rev. Dr. Alice Bellis and author Jeff Nicoll guide us in the study of his book, "Strange and Gaudy Fruit: Toxic Theology", to identify long-standing dehumanizing Christian dogmas in order to move towards a more ethical, respectful and merciful society.

Rev. Dr. Alice Bellis is an ordained minister and Professor of Hebrew Bible at Howard University School of Divinity for over 25 years. Dr. Bellis has written numerous books and articles, including Proverbs , which won the 2019 Catholic Publishers Association Book of the Year Award. Her most recent book is Africa and the Bible: Corrective Lenses .
Jeff Nicoll received his doctorate in theoretical physics from MIT and a Master of Arts in religious studies from the Howard University School of Divinity. He has published papers in physics and cosmology and is the author of Augustine's Problem: Impotence and Grace (2016).
